A series of in-game animations featuring Hope - both with and without her makeshift flying apparatus.
Wings of Hope (2023)
Wing of Hope was my first video game prototype working as part of Moon Mode. The concept for this was a result of energetically combining the ideas each of us were most excited to create: A cartoony-looking flying racing game. But the twist? You play as Hope, the penguin. The sharp among you will have noted that penguins are notoriously flightless birds. This project was initially created in Unreal, but was later ported over to Unity.
Contained in this project is my work on the characters, from first concept to final assets.
For Wings of Hope I contributed primarily as an all-round artist, but I also go to explore narrative design, level design and VO creative direction. The detailed list of my contributions to the project includes:
- Game design assistance
- Narrative design
- World building

- Art direction
- Pitch document illustration
- Character concepts, modelling and animation
- Environment concepts, modelling and animation
